Services for Outplaced Employees
Our outplacement services philosophy is based on the belief that we can best serve a displaced employee by truly understanding their unique situation. To accomplish this, we provide each displaced employee with the personalized one-on-one attention and support they need. With each of our outplacement packages, a displaced employee receives one-on-one time with a Career Transitions Consultant. Our career counselors speak an array of languages at the mother tongue level, including Spanish, French and Russian as well as English and Hebrew.
One to One Outplacement Support Service Features:
Our individual outplacement programs include personal support from one of our team of professional career consultants. Candidates benefit from face to face meetings backed up by telephone and email support. The features of our individual outplacement programs include:
I.Our 3 Service Levels:
1) Individual Contributors - Career Continuation Program
2) Managers/Directors - Career Transition Program
3) Executives - Career Executive Program
1.Individual Participants- Career Continuation Program
Our one-on-one support focuses on needs such as career management and assessment within a framework of up to 10 hours of counselor time, including:

goal-setting to determine a new direction

optional online testing
-
creation of a job search plan
-
resume preparation (in both English and Hebrew)
-
referrals to recruiters and sources of the hidden job market and job leads
-
referrals to job search sites
-
networking with industry leaders and forums
-
interview preparation using digital videocam simulations and instant review, as well as pre-interview coaching. Clients may receive a copy of their recorded interview in order to review and enhance their performance.
Updated information about current local employment trends is integrated into the process. Our data base offers information on all other aspects of relocation as well, especially cultural norms and customs. We are particularly well-versed in the area of small business initiatives and development, should this be an area of interest for certain clients. All support levels can be provided for up to 12 months (for details, see below).
2. Managers/Directors - Career Transition Program
In addition to the basics provided to individuals as detailed above, this package, aimed at mid-management, focuses on moving forward in one's career and includes:

Typically, this program extends for up to 6 months and involves 16 hours of counselor time.
3.Executives - Career Executive Program
This package is aimed at senior managers and executives and offers a high level of personally tailored support from our senior consultants and a flexible package of benefits.
Our Executive Program includes:

A confidential introductory face to face meeting with an outplacement consultant, to enable the candidate and consultant to meet, establish rapport and agree on the candidate's objectives, priorities and career aspirations, together with any practicalities involved in moving forward into a new position.

Up to 20 hours of personal one to one consultancy support as appropriate, tailored to the candidate's needs. Spouse partner can be included in these discussions if desired.

Unlimited critiques and advice on the candidate's progress, including help with CVs, letters of application, email communications and interview techniques to fine-tune the candidate's approach.

Guidance on "settling into your new job" with advice on acclimatizing to a new role and rapidly assimilating important information within the first 90 days of the candidate's new job

Information and referral services for all work- and family- related matters involved in relocation back to Israel or relocation overseas.
II.Outplacement Packages- Components and Fees:
We provide three basic Outplacement Package options:
1) 3- month career transition support
2) 6-month career transition support
3) 12-month career transition support
All programs include the option of taking a self-assessment test available as well as a 24/7-accessible web-based career assessment tool in partnership with ReadymindsTM which enables clients to clarify their goals and focus their efforts.
1. 3 months of career transition support consisting of:

10 total hours of one-on-one telephone consultation time with a Career Transitions Consultant covering all aspects of the job search process requiring support, including internet job search techniques, networking introductions, interviewing, writing emails, follow up emails, and salary negotiations.

A 24/7 accessible web-based career assessment tool in partnership with ReadymindsTM. The displaced employee receives a personalized report that covers such areas as motivational traits, 10 top job areas to pursue, vocational analysis, personal analysis and learning styles.

Access to an interactive program allowing the displaced employee to see how their motivations match the job profile for a particular job of interest

A 1 hour one-on-one telephone consultation to review career assessment results

A resume written by a professional resume writer in English and/or Hebrew

A cover letter written to highlight the displaced employee's strengths
2. 6 months of career transition support consisting of:

12 total hours of one-on-one telephone consultation time with a Career Transition Consultation covering any aspect of the job search process where the displaced employee needs support including Internet and other job search techniques, interviewing practice with video feedback, drafting email and follow up letters, and salary negotiations.

A 24/7 accessible web-based career assessment tool. The displaced employee receives a personalized report that covers such areas as aptitude and vocational analysis and one-on-one telephone consultation to review career assessment results.

A resume written by a professional resume writer, with the possibility of several variations being generated.

An email or cover letter written to highlight the displaced employee's strengths

Assistance with resume posting to online career sites

4. Job search skills: the hidden job market, Electronic resume distribution, effective techniques for getting face-to-face with employers, networking, use of internet sites, employment agencies, cultural norms in the job search process

IV. Spouse Relocation Assistance Program (RAP:
This service includes:

Meeting with a counselor to examine the impact of relocation on spouse and other family members.

Identification of skills, strengths, aptitudes and interests.
-
Self-assessment, as needed.
-
Planning a job search strategy and a realistic timetable if appropriate.
-
Training in specific job search skills, if needed.
-
Finding new educational and/or volunteer opportunities for those not in possession of a work visa.
-
Networking with other relocated spouses with common interests or careers.
-
Cross-cultural concerns.
V. Workshops:
Group modalities are designed to complement the individual support described above. Workshops include Early Retirement Courses for those planning to retire.
Workshop formats vary from 2 half-days to 4 full days, and may include any or all of the topics cited above (e.g. understanding implications of tests, job search plan, resume preparation, referrals to recruiters, networking, interview preparation, etc).
Career transition workshops are led by career experts holding an MA in the behavioral sciences, a certificate from a recognized university in group facilitation, and are certified members of the Israeli professional organization of vocational counselors.
